Authors, literary agents and publishers from around the world are reaching a new audience by licensing their content to Sakkam Press. These rights holders either had no previous access to the Japanese market or they wanted to add ebook versions to their existing catalogue for Japan.
As a digital publisher, Sakkam Press has a wealth of experience in how to overcome the practical issues that arise when creating ebooks from print originals. This experience has been applied to the development of a content management system for ebooks, which is available as a commercial product in its own right.
Sakkam Press was founded in 2011. CEO and media veteran Robin Birtle regularly writes and consults on the Japanese ebook market.
